A 30 foot Catalina Yacht

Sailing in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico from Anna Maria Island, Florida.

Sailboat Description

The Catalina 30 is a sloop-rigged monohull with an aft-cockpit. It is the largest and longest continuous production keel boat in the world. Its mainsail is raised on a 46 foot mast, and its powerful foresail can be quickly unfurled. It has a stable lead fin keel with a spade rudder, and is quite maneuverable under power, making it suitable for both racing and cruising.

The deck is fairly wide, with a beam of 10 foot 10 inches, and consequently it is very comfortable to move around on. Included are teak grab rails on the cabin top which can be very helpful when underway. Additionally the shrouds are conveniently positioned so that it is easy to go around them.

The cockpit is spacious and accommodating, and as a cruising vessel it includes the typical v-berth that converts to a nice double sized bed. It also includes a comfortable head, ample galley, and a welcoming folding table, which you would expect in a small yacht.
